The Senate Ready !
A new Senate has finally been formed, with a Senate majority leader finally getting elected despite an initial deadlock. So let’s meet our new senate:
First, there was the surprise result of 2 Bobux senators being elected. As well as a surprise victory from independent Dick Cheney, who VJN polling put at a 5% possibility of winning his seat. The last two seats were filled by Volt party leader Caden and Helldivers Techsupport. The election seemed to go well for incumbent senator Bob, who won in the first round of vote tabulation; he was the only incumbent to retain his seat. While former Senate Majority Leader Vic had narrowly lost his seat, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sofia did not recontest for hers.
For the new inductees into the Senate, we have first Caden. Caden had previously served as Senate Majority Leader after his successful election with Order of the Rose(OTR). He has been reelected to the role with the support of Senators Miccael and Cheney, joining him in the majority. Miccael is currently the Minister of Activity since the resignation of some ministers from the cabinet over a proposed bill by the Bobux party. He has served in many ministerial roles and is a Bobux party veteran. Dick Cheney is a newcomer to Vod politics, being a very active SimDem politician before his surprise victory in the election. And finally, Techsupport “Tech,” who is a senior Helldivers Admiral and former Minister. He is currently the only “Minority” senator, as Senator Bob has not voted to join either bloc.
